National French Fries Day is July 13th, 2015. French Fries have been an American favorite for a very long time. According to Food.com: “President Thomas Jefferson introduced America to these deep-fried spuds in 1802. His specific order: "Potatoes served in the French manner."
You can get French fries pretty much anywhere: At Mc Donald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Arby's, In-N-Out Burger, family style restaurants, fancy restaurants, the frozen food section at your local grocery store, and the list goes on and on. Probably, there is nothing more popular to go with a burger except for the bun itself.
Who has the best fries? That’s a matter of contentious debate. Are they tastier if they are straight cut or curly? Does sea salt make them better? Skins on or skins off? More salt or less salt? Mc Donald’s or Burger King? Cheese? Gravy? Ketchup or catsup? Who knew potatoes could be so confusing, taste so good, and cause so much debate? Millions, perhaps even billions of dollars are spent on advertising for these cut up and deep fried potato pieces. French fries are big business!
A number of restaurants have free wi-fi, so you can even make it a combo meal with CashCrate lol. Enjoy a side of surveys with your burger and fries.
