Preparing for Black Friday

Black Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year. You can find great in store deals but you’ll have to fight crowds. Some retailers have big discounts the day before too. That’s great for savvy shoppers but not so good for retail employees who have to work Thanksgiving. Will you brave the masses Black Friday? Are the deals worth it?

Before fighting crowds, prepare yourself. Research the sales and specials. Find the items you want. If the price is right and it’s something you really want, showing up before the store opens is probably a good idea. Depending on the sale, people sometimes line up and wait for hours for a store to open. When the doors are unlocked, it’s a mad rush to get in.

Familiarize yourself with the layout of the store if you have not shopped there before. Go immediately to where your item is located and don’t let displays and other deals along the way distract you. There will be time to look after you get your must have item in your hands.

Black Friday deals can be found online too and that may save you even more. For example, you find a great sale on a retailer’s website. That saves you money. If you make your purchase through the CashCrate Shopping Page, you’ll also get cash back for your purchase. That puts more money back in your hands.  Just select the desired retailer and make your purchase as you normally would, directly from the retailer's site.

Whether you fight the crowds or shop online, we hope you find a great deal on Black Friday!

I'll be working 11:45pm Thanksgiving night until 8:30am Black Friday morning. Please remember to be courteous if you do shop. We're only doing our jobs, and don't make policies for the store, and so forth. Happy Thanksgiving all!
