Finding a Holiday JobPosted in Announcements by CashCrate Dana
A holiday job can help make ends meet, especially with the added expense of Christmas presents, Thanksgiving dinner, etc. Have you thought about picking up a holiday job? Here are some ideas:
Many retailers hire extra people for the holidays. Start with local stores like Walmart, Target, Kmart, Macy’s, Toys “R” Us, and others. Check with smaller retailers in your area as well.
Amazon hires thousands to help meet the holiday demand. If you live near an Amazon warehouse or sorting center, it’s worth checking out.
Temporary agencies like Kelly Services help fill seasonal positions. Put in applications at your local temp agencies and let them look for you.
If you live near the mountains and get snow in your area, check with local ski resorts. Obviously, they need more people to work when there is snow on the ground.
Create your own job. Again, if you live in an area that gets snow, visit your neighbors and local small businesses. Offer to shovel driveways and walkways.
Play Santa. Many stores, malls, and other businesses hire seasonal Santas. If you enjoy kids and you can check a list twice, this may be the job for you. Not cut out to be a Santa? Maybe you can get hired as a helper or an elf.
Make extra money on CashCrate. Complete offers and surveys and get paid. Use that extra money for presents and other things you need.
Volunteer. While it doesn’t pay you in money, volunteering is rewarding in so many other ways. Help a local food bank feed people for the holidays, or help a local charity get toys to children. Helping others can really put you in the holiday spirit.
