Earth Day Can Be EverydayPosted in Announcements by CashCrate Dana
The first Earth Day took place in 1970. Earth Day is celebrating its 45th anniversary on April 22nd, 2015. The day focuses on preserving the environment, such as clean drinking water and climate change. Recycling and renewable clean energy are important initiatives. What can we do as individuals to help reduce pollution and make it a cleaner world?
If everyone does something small, it can add up to something big. Switch out incandescent light bulbs with more energy efficient lighting. Shut lights off when you leave the room. Replace the air filter in your furnace so it runs more efficiently. Turn off your computer or let it go into hibernation mode when you’re not completing CashCrate surveys. Seal drafts around doors and windows. Little things like this can save you money on your utility bills. If millions of us do these little things, they add up to something big!
CashCrate has around 6 million members, so that’s a good start. We’re all here to make money, but saving money is a great thing too. Help make your online earnings go further and spend that money on things you like instead of the electric and gas bill.
Recycling is another big thing we can do. Many communities have recycling programs for paper, plastic, glass, metal, and other things. Old electronics can be recycled as well. Look for an electronics recycling center in your area. Reusing things can help us from running out.
On Earth Day, take a moment to get outside and look at a forest, a sunset, and you’ll see what it’s all about.
Happy Earth Day.
